Branding methods

We offer a variety of professional branding techniques that can be used to brand your bespoke merchandise.

Finding the right branding method will depend on product material, your artwork and the look that you want to achieve.

Our team is on hand to provide you with expert advice and recommendations to ensure that your branded merchandise stands out.

Screen Printing

Screen printing is a printing technique where a mesh is used to transfer pantone ink onto the product, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil.

One colour is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multi-coloured image or design.

This technique is used on many different product types and isn't limited to just clothing.

Pad Printing

Pad printing (tampo) is a printing process that can transfer a logo onto a 3-D product.

Pads are three-dimensional objects typically molded of silicone rubber. They function as a transfer vehicle, picking up ink from the printing plate, and transferring it to the product.

Solid multi-coloured logos can be printed using this method.

Pad printing is used for printing on otherwise difficult to print on products.

Digital Printing

Digital printing maps out an image onto a chosen product and using micro droplets of ink, transfers that image onto it.

There are no stages between the finished digital image and the printing process, making it much quicker and easier than traditional printing methods.

This method is ideal for printing images and logos that have different shades of colours in it's design.

Laser Engraving

This method is where lasers are used to engrave, etch or mark an object.

The technique is highly technical and complex, utilising a computerised system to drive the movements of the laser head.

It makes it ideal for creating high quality branding to a wide variety of materials in particular metal, glass and wood.

Embroidery

This is the application of embroidering a logo or design onto clothing, caps or bags using computerised embroidery machines.

Your logo may need to be modified before it can be embroidered successfully. Small text below 4-5mm may need enlarging slightly and designs with very fine detail may require editing in order to achieve the best overall look.

Screen Transfer

Screen transfers are screen-prints onto release paper, with the inks subsequently transferred onto the destination product when heat is applied.

The application of the transfer is carried out with a heat-press which maintains the correct temperature for the transfer.

Digital Transfer

Digital transfers are full colour prints onto release paper, with the inks subsequently transferred onto the destination product when heat is applied.

The application of the transfer is carried out with a heat-press which maintains the correct temperature for the transfer.

Sublimation

Sublimation printing is a process that uses high heat and pressure to transfer your design from sublimation paper directly onto your chosen product.

The combination of pressure and heat embeds your artwork for long-lasting and vibrant results.

Other Branding Methods

Foil Blocking/Hot Stamping

Foil blocking, sometimes known as hot stamping is a process where a pre-glued metallic foil is pressed by a heated die onto the surface of the product.

This process typically used for branding leather style products such as notebooks, luggage tags or bags.

Embossing/Debossing

Embossing and debossing are the processes of creating either raised or recessed relief images and designs.

An embossed pattern is raised against the background, while a debossed pattern is sunken into the surface of the material but might protrude somewhat on the reverse side.
